Doctrine and Covenants 4:2-3

"Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day.

Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work;" (Doctrine and Covenants 4:2-3)

2 Months!

This week I was so sick! I had a head cold but that didn’t stop me from doing the Lords work! haha

We had zone conference this week and it was so fun it was Army themed! And we were Pday clothes and they set up an obstacle course in the church we jumped over chairs and slid under tables hahah. It was way fun I was informed normally they are very formal and reverent haha but it was the best first zone conference you could ever get! haha

I also got a letter from Brother Strode! This week while we were tracking we had 3 dogs follow us about 4 blocks it was so funny. At least it’s really funny at 9 at night haha. We have an investigator named Jose One day we decided to knock on his door didn’t know if we would get a response we did and handed him a Book of Mormon and then we saw him again and he invited us in where we gave him and his Mom the lesson on The Plan of Salvation and invited them to be baptized! Fingers crossed! We also had splits this week.

OH, and last night there where fireworks that we could see from our apartment!! Today we went to the Hill with our district and visited the Independence museum of Tucuman it was pretty cool I got a sick picture with the guards!

I hope everyone is having a good week! love you All!

Hola Family and Friends!

This week has been very interesting. Haha!

I played Red light Green light with a very big dog, not a game I would suggest. Haha. We went clapping at a house and a dog came running out with its chain broken and started growling and was a foot away from  my  companion and we just moved our hands slightly and it jumped at us to an inch away I wish I was being dramatic but we just stood still for 3 minutes and it sniffed our ankles and barked and then when it wasn’t looking we just back away very slowly. I cried. Haha! So scary. But it’s nothing some ice cream can’t fix!

Oh, I have also become very inventive! The bathroom has no room to put your clean clothes, so I took two wire hangers and I bent them a little crazy and now I hang my clothes up for my shower then they don’t get wet and gross. Haha! Whoot whoot clean clothes!

I made muddy buddies this week and pancakes. It has gotten around that I like to cook so I have been asked for next P day when we go to the hill to make Pancakes! I also made with my companion today Empanadas!! Yum Yum! And she makes tortillas. Oh so good! I need to work out more because of all this cooking. Haha.

Okay for the spiritual side of my week. I am having some struggles adjusting but I decided this week to study Christ like attributes and mark up my scriptures. In doing so I have learned a lot about love and charity but also hope and knowledge and I got this feeling of that I need to pray for joy and my days because they are so limited here. I thought it was funny but since I have started praying for joy I have felt the like I can do this that a mission is like what my friend Elder Brown said in the CCM that we look forward to it for eternity and we look back at it for eternity, but we only have a year in a half to experience it. We taught a family and the spirit was so strong it was so beautiful we talked about the blessings of temples and it was crazy I spoke in Spanish through the Holy Ghost because I know it wasn’t me it was a way cool experience!

I hope you all are having a great week love you all!

Hola!

I have been assigned to Tucaman it is by Salta.  I have to hurry. Haha!

So really quick... It is very humbling to be here the people are so kind and I almost cried the first night when a family fed us everything they had.  But it is good here. It’s funny people call me Barbie.  Haha! Not sure why.

My companion is great, and we bought a bunch of food like flour and sugar to cook.  So, if you all have recipes please I would love them!

My trip here was fun. We had a cool experience this week we were walking, and I was practicing the first vision. When 3 men stopped us in our tracks and asked about the church.  We ended up giving the first lesson in the street and handing out 3 Book of Mormons. Haha!  It was crazy but awesome.

There are dogs everywhere here. Thankfully they have fur, but they scare me because they always look hungry (haha) and walk way close to our feet.

We also flossed with investigators last night it was so fun. Haha! It’s a dance not the teeth. Haha!  My companion is from Mexico and is awesome.

Love you all,
Hermana Dunn

I HAVE MADE IT TO THE PLACE WHERE I BELONG!

Hola Family and Friends!

I have made it to Salta Argentina! and I could not be more excited!

My trip here has consisted of multiple tender mercies. We had a flight to Buenos Aries that landed us there at 9 at night. and the group I had traveled with was prepared to sleep in the airport. But then when we arrived there was another member of the church who took us to a very nice hotel where they fed us and let us shower and call our parents before we had to leave at 3 to get to our connecting flight at 6am. and again when we got to the airport there was another member there who was helping us with the entire bagging process again.

Then when we arrived in Salta we met our mission President and his wife! We have been at the mission home all day being fed and taken care of. And all the worries we had about apartments and laundry are not issues with our mission president personally going to each apartment and fixing or adding things that are needed.

MOM they all have an oven! I definitely need that French bread recipe! We get our trainers tomorrow! and we are staying in a hotel tonight. Also, I get a letter from Sister Bennington thanks a bunch! it was so sweet to receive a letter when I first get here. Oh, my Pday is Monday!

Love you all so much!

LAST WEEK IN THE CCM

It’s crazy to think we are at our last week in the CCM! I am headed to Argentina Monday morning! I’m way excited to be out in the field! It’s crazy how fast time went by in the CCM but I am so excited to start serving those I meet in Argentina!

I received a letter from Brother Strode this week! It’s so fun to get mail! We also saw fireworks from our casa this week! that was awesome! I taught yoga again and all the elders from our district came it was so fun! I have one more yoga class in the CCM!

I skyped with a couple from Argentina and had a simple lesson with them on how our Heavenly Father loves us and how to pray. The Spanish in Argentina is not like Mexican Spanish! I’m excited to be fully immersed in the culture! The people I skyped where so sweet! This week to learn the language I have decided to read the whole Book of Mormon in Spanish before Sunday. there is a promise and I can’t remember by who but if you read the whole Book of Mormon in the language you are trying to learn you will be able to speak that language.

This is a shorter email because we get to go to the temple today and I’m way excited it is the last time I will go in the next 17 months because there is not a temple in my mission I hope everyone is doing well and I love you all!
