Doctrine and Covenants 4:2-3

"Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day.

Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work;" (Doctrine and Covenants 4:2-3)

Where to even begin?!?!

Okay I will start with the basics its… Super-hot here like crazy hot!  It’s 40 c and that’s not even the hottest here in Tucuman.  But I love it my companion and I have made it a game of who can drink 2 litters of water first and we do this like twice a day, so we are drinking plenty. The only problem is then you must contact houses because every 3 contacts you have to go to the bathroom, but the people here are really nice and let us right in!

We both bought hats for the sun too hehe! Also, there are so many beautiful butterfly’s it’s so funny they are everywhere.  So this week I decided I want to keep them..... and so we caught ab bunch like 10 and put them in my backpack and I walked with them all day long it was great and I was so excited to open my bag when we got home and see them all fly out to only find they all fell asleep! And then they flew out later lol...

We also had a bunch of rain last night! Like a bunch!  When we were walking home from a lesson and all the power was out except at this one stop light and we were waiting to cross.  The light goes red and I start to cross, and the cars don’t stop!!! it’s crazy! I almost got hit.  That was a very interesting experience! I guess red here still means green haha.

As for the work its going well. We have a really good couple who really like the idea of eternal families and then we also have a guy who is working on quitting smoking!  It’s great it was really funny the other day.  We were reading the scriptures with him and we wanted him to read with us, but he said he didn’t have his glasses, so we read to him.  Then halfway through us reading he wanted to read and read like the whole chapter it was just funny how powerful the Book of Mormon really is and how much it helps People gain a greater testimony and desire. It’s a really cool tool!!

Well I hope everyone is having a great week!!

love you all

Hola!!!

Christmas Miracles are in the air! This week we found 33 new people to teach!!
And got 8 fechas for baptism! That's so exciting!

I also got to talk to my family that was way cool!! It's awesome to see everyone.  I also received a bunch of cards from the Wards, my family, the Kunzlers, Brother Moody, and  the Strodes. I love reading about you all!  It's great to hear how you all are doing!!

My companion and I also found a person that was cutting or trimming a pine tree so we asked if we could take a branch or two and we put it in our pention like a little Christmas tree it's so cute and now our pention smells so good! Haha!

This week has been so fun! I love spending Christmas on the Mission it gave me a perspective I've never seen before and an excitement for the mission. I'm so grateful for my Savior and for his loving sacrifice for all of us!  I also finished reading the Book of Mormon and I know without a doubt it testifies of Christ and you will grow closer to the Savior through reading, pondering and praying about it!

I love you all!

I hope you have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Hola!

Merry Christmas!

This week had been so fun! Even though its 100 degrees outside its starting to feel like Christmas.  We had a Christmas conference it was so fun, but I forgot my camera and so did my companion…Haha Oh- well.   Our zone performed a skit for this conference we were making a “movie” and had a “camera man” and “the director” and we just kept repeating the same skit of a missionary being robbed with a bunch of different scenarios like sad angry fast and scared- different ones like this.  When they got to the scared scenario in the practice they would have “jaws” music and then the Elders got an idea to have a Hermana scream.  It was so funny they were thinking out loud and one Elder said “We need a Hermana who’s loud”… and Before he finished saying the word loud he looked at me and said Hermana Dunn! Haha….So in the conference I screamed- but for the skit lol.  We also at Zone conference has a white Elephant.  I bought a Mate and wrapped it like a mate Haha.  My companion and I also make a Christmas tree out of some paint and paper we found!

Okay not to the exciting part the mission work!  Yesterday my companion and I visited on of our personas he doesn’t have a family or a house, but he is really good person.  So yesterday we read the birth of Christ in Luke and then we wrapped a bunch of Alfajors (cookies) and put scriptures on them then we gave him a Christmas tree (after the Lesson).  It was so sweet.  He was way surprised. Aldo this week we went contacting with the cards/invitations the church has with the Virgin Mary on it (and Christ of course).   We contacted a house that had a lot the Virgin Mary pictures taped to the door and an old lady answered and we were talking with her than all of a sudden, her son probably 40 years old said “We (meaning us the missionary’s and them) are not in the same relationship” Haha!  Then the older lady said, “you mean religion” Then they started pointing to the different Virgin Mary that were taped to her door and I still had this invitation in my hand.  So, I looked at the lady and said, “Well this card has the Virgin Mary on it would you like to put this on your door?” She took the card and the son was like Ahh no but it was too late  Haha!

Well I love you all Have a great Merry Christmas!
